Is eGIPHny part of GIPHY?

No. We write about GIF culture; we do not host, index or distribute GIFs.

How do you pronounce GIF?
Both "jif" and "gif" (with a hard g) are widely used. The format's creator favoured "jif", but dictionaries accept both.
Is it OK to use GIFs in work messages?
Often yes, in the right context and with the right audience. Our guide on using GIFs in professional email covers when they help and when they hurt.
Are reaction GIFs copyright-free?
Not necessarily. Many GIFs are clips of copyrighted films or TV. Platforms have their own rules, and commercial use raises different issues from personal sharing. See how social media platforms handle GIF copyright; for specific situations, consult a lawyer.
